Interview with Boykoff on Green-Wood.

Jules Boykoff conducted a thought-provoking interview with me about Green-Wood called “Poetry, Politics, and Perambulation,” for Jacket2. Such interactions make it possible to envision continuing as a writer, despite all the obstacles that work against. Thanks, Jules!

  1. Very moving… much resonates and so much to think about. Cars as places that keep you from “arriving” mentally. That the cemetery turned you into an environmentalist because through walking ‘everyday’ you began to inhabit the seasons there. Private spaces and public inhabitation…the historical/document(ary) voice…so much! and so precisely and vitally said.

Jules’ question too were moving and are essentially a reading of the book. A reading that opens and clarifies key aspects of the work.
